Ambassadors may seek sponsors to help with the required fee. Please consult the Executive Director for more information.
SELECTION PROCESS & SCORING
GLOBAL IMPACT VIDEO 20%
Each Ambassador will produce a 2-minute introduction video. Ambassadors will be scored on a scale of 1 to 10. The global impact video is 20% of the overall score. The Selection Committee will look for a strong Ambassador introduction, Ambassador understanding of global citizenship and Ambassador contribution as a global citizen.
#ACT4SDGS 10%
Each Ambassador is tasked with embracing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and leading innovative efforts to build sustainable societies. Ambassadors are required to track their action for the SDGs and submit documentation to the Board of Directors 2 weeks prior to the national pageant. Ambassadors with 20 verified acts or more will be allocated the highest number of points. #Act4SDGs is 10% of the overall score. The Board of Directors will look for level of engagement, representation of the organization, and commitment to global citizenship.
CHARITABLE GIVING 10%
Each Ambassador is tasked with raising a minimum of $200.00 through the charitable giving initiative. This initiative allows Ambassadors to fundraise at a capacity that further demonstrates their leadership and dedication to extending the organization's reach and achieving the mission. Ambassadors participating in this initiative will be allocated the highest number of points on a scale of 1 to 10. Charitable Giving is 10% of the overall score. The Board of Directors will consider each Ambassador's commitment to supporting the work of TGC Collective.
INTERVIEW 30%
Each Ambassador will have a panel interview with the judges. Ambassadors will be scored on a scale of 1 to 10. The interview competition is 30% of the overall score. The Selection Committee will look for ability to articulate views, sense of independence and convictions, understanding of global citizenship, contribution as a global citizen, sense of confidence and overall impression.
SWIMWEAR 15%
Each Ambassador will model swimwear of their choice. Ambassadors will be scored on a scale of 1 to 10. The swimwear competition is 15% of the overall score. The Selection Committee will look for physical fitness, sense of confidence and overall impression.
FORMAL WEAR 15%
Each Ambassador will model formal wear of their choice. Ambassadors will be scored on a scale of 1 to 10. The formal wear competition is 15% of the overall score. The Selection Committee will look for poise, style, sense of confidence and appropriateness of formal wear.
GLOBAL IMPACT STATEMENT (Top 5)
Each Ambassador will present a 30 second Global Impact Statement. Ambassadors will be scored on a scale of 1 to 10. The Ambassador accumulating the highest score from this phase of competition will be crowned the winner. The Selection Committee will look for ability to articulate his/her views, understanding of global citizenship, contribution as a global citizen, sense of confidence and overall impression.
