OBUMNEME NWANKWO OF USA APPOINTED THE CITIZEN'S MR.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – TGC Collective is proud to announce the appointment of Obumneme (Obum) Nwankwo as The Citizen’s Mr. Nwankwo is a first generation Nigerian-American and the youngest of four children. Born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, he attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff majoring in Industrial Technology and minoring in Theater. He is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated. As a young child, Nwankwo was encouraged to help those who are less fortunate and always dream big.

THE CITIZEN'S MR., OBUM NWANKWO

Today Nwankwo is pursuing his dream of becoming a professional actor, writer, comedian, and all-around creative. He is owner of BoomN Productions based in Atlanta, Georgia. Through the arts he hopes to continue his mission of being a voice for issues that are dear to him such as ending systemic racism. Nwankwo operates on a foundation of faith and worships as a member of The dReam Center Church. He encourages others to use their gifts to educate and inspire positive social change.

As The Citizen’s Mr., Nwankwo will spend the next year representing TGC Collective and serving as a change champion for the organization’s Collective Good initiative which aims to increase awareness and inspire action through education and advocacy of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He will mentor other Ambassadors and extend the reach of the SDGs to a unique audience of compassionate leaders through the Collective Good initiative and the organization’s Citizen's Pageant program.

The Citizen's Pageant serves as a change agent by appointing male and female Ambassadors to serve in each country. Ambassadors champion global citizenship guided by the United Nations’ SDGs. The annual pageant produces an International Ambassador to global issues worldwide. 

TGC Collective is a socially responsible, international nonprofit promoting knowledge and awareness of global citizenship. Its mission is to inspire active global citizens who create a more equal, fair, and sustainable planet.
