MEET THE BOARD
A professional entertainer and creative spirit, Annika completed a Bachelor of Professional Studies at The University of Memphis with a focus in Theater and Dance, as well as a Master of Science in Management and a Master of Science in Project Management with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
Annika is a former dancer for the NBA's Memphis Grizzlies and has choreographed for several professional organizations. In addition to her philanthropic efforts, she has worked as a production assistant with Miss Universe Iceland and Miss Earth USA. She has traveled over a dozen countries, each time incorporating an act of public service. The Global Citizen Collective is an extension of Annika's passions and zest for living a life of abundance.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Christina is an adventurous soul with a desire to serve her community both locally and globally. She has traveled over a dozen countries and 30 U.S. states. She earned a Master of Education in Special Education and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
Christina served as a Playmaker for the NFL's Baltimore Ravens and entertained thousands as a cheerleader for the MLL's Chesapeake Bayhawks. During her time with the Baltimore Ravens she was awarded Rookie Playmaker of the Year & Unsung Hero by her teammates, as well as the Ravens Award for her dedication to the team and community. As Director of Programs for The Global Citizen Collective, Christina is responisble for strategic management and logistics of the organization's programs.
DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMS
Chukwudum is the Founder of Epiphany Men's Jewelry and Blokes Men's Footwear in Lagos, Nigeria. He is also an Independent Consultant specialising in Brand Strategy, Marketing and Public Relations. He earned a bachelor’s degree with honors in Economics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, a Professional Diploma in Marketing from Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), United Kingdom, and Google Certifications in Digital Marketing.
Chukwudum brings over 18 years of experience and deep expertise in advertising, business development, communications, and product innovation. He is a Climate Reality Leader with the Climate Reality Leadership Corps. His passion for education, clean energy, financial inclusion, poverty eradication and sustainable communities serve as the driving force in his service efforts around the globe.
Dr. SunAh M Laybourn
Dr. SunAh M Laybourn is an Assistant Professor in the University of Memphis’ Department of Sociology. She earned a Doctor of Philosophy and a Master of Arts in Sociology from the University of Maryland.
At four months of age, SunAh was adopted by a white military couple and was raised in Memphis, Tennessee. Growing up in a city haunted by the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr., she was acutely aware of the centrality of race in America. Experiences of racial division, racial inequality, and bridge building have informed her perspective and academic work.
SunAh is actively involved in the Korean adoptee community, including serving on the Korean American Adoptee Adoptive Family Network’s Advisory Committee. She is the host of WYXR 91.7FM’s Let’s Grab Coffee, a weekly radio show featuring experts from across the country, who are investigating our most pressing social issues and common curiosities. In her spare time, SunAh produces the Verbally Effective podcast and is a goal-setting coach, including sharing personal development and planning tips on her I love Mondays! podcast.
