MEET THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Annika Adams is an entertainer, project manager and philanthropist from Memphis, Tennessee. She completed a Bachelor of Professional Studies at The University of Memphis with a focus in Theater and Dance, as well as a Master of Science in Management and a Master of Science in Project Management with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Her love for theatre and dance is not only evident through her studies at The University of Memphis, but also through her elaborate design of events, pageant productions and theatrical dance performances.

 

In 2010, Annika relocated to Washington, D.C. and launched Revere Event Planning & Design, a boutique event management company specializing in custom, high-quality, detail-oriented events.

A former dancer for the NBA's Memphis Grizzlies, Annika has choreographed for several professional organizations including; EuroCup's KK Olimpija dance team (Slovenia), KK Cedevita (Croatia) dance team, and Compañía E.Co Dance (Cuba). She is an Adult Company member of Capital Movement Inc., a non-profit dance company based in Washington, D. C.​

Annika is no stranger to the world of pageantry. With over 20 years of experience she has participated as delegate, judge, auditor, emcee, choreographer, director and producer. Her accomplishments include; 1st Runner-Up International Ms. 2018, 1st Runner-Up Ms. DC United States 2015, Top 10 Faces of the World USA 2008, Top 10 Miss Black Tennessee USA 2007, Miss Chester County 2004 (Miss America Organization), and Miss Kappa Alpha Psi 2001 (Kappa Beta Chapter). She has worked as a production assistant with Miss Earth USA and Miss Universe Iceland.

Annika's philanthropic efforts began in 2001 when she became an advocate of America’s Promise Alliance through her work with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. Throughout her career, Annika has continually dedicated herself to empowering others and giving back to charity through organizations such as Make-A-Wish Foundation, National MS Society, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She served on the Board of Directors for international non-profit Changing Destinations: Journey to Excellence for six years. During this time she helped develop programs to support the organization’s global citizenship initiative. She currently serves as the organization's Goodwill Ambassador. She has traveled over a dozen countries, each time incorporating an act of public service through her passion for people. 

Annika is a member of the East Baltimore Church of Christ. She credits her faith as the secret to happiness and success. She grew up in Memphis, Tennessee with her mother, father and two brothers. A certified Climate Reality Leader (Climate Reality Leadership Corps) and proud graduate of Cornell University's Women's Entrepreneurship program, Annika is dedicated to creating an organization of thoughtful leaders prepared to address global issues and live life on their own terms.
